Below are articles, reports and a blog link showing how important high power factor is to the power transmission grid and how RAIS’s inherent high PF will become the required bench mark in the future. This will ensure any product using RAIS meets the performance requirements and deservedly attract the available government subsidies. Power Factor is hotly debated. In the main, those companies that do not have the technology or believe they need a PFC stage argue against it. Those that argue for it, such as the Carbon Trust and the utilities, have to be carful not to create a situation that can not be fulfilled. They all have one thing in common. All agree that if it could be achieved with no loss, then it should be mandatory. This technology proves it is possible with no loss and as such there is no doubt that it will become mandatory in the near future.

Quote from the Energy Saving Trust : "The Energy Saving Trust sees the endorsement of LED lighting as critical, when the market for domestic LEDs is developing rapidly and the number of products available growing quickly.  When a new technology comes onto the market it is important for customers to be directed towards the best quality products, so that the public perception of the technology is not damaged by poor quality products.  We have been endorsing compact fluorescent lighting for many years and we believe that Energy Saving Recommended has been instrumental in ensuring the majority of CFLs sold in the UK are of the highest quality."
